State Leadership Conference

March 10-11, 8:00 am-5:00 pm University of the District of Columbia | Washington, DC

What is the DC CTSO State Leadership Conference

State leadership conferences (SLC) are vital events within the career and technical
student organizations (CTSO) framework. They serve as platforms for students to
hone their leadership abilities, collaborate with peers across the state, and
showcase their talents and achievements. These conferences also provide a forum
for students to develop critical skills like public speaking, teamwork, and problem-
solving, preparing them for future academic and professional endeavors.

Additionally, state leadership conferences offer students opportunities to interact
with industry professionals and community partners vested in CTE. Students who
compete at SLC are qualified to attend their organization's national conferences in
June to represent their school and the District of Columbia.
